The Diploma in Chemical Engineering is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge and technical skills in line with technological developments in the field of chemical engineering. The program emphasizes on theory and practice such as the operation of workshops; mini -plants; process simulations and laboratory experiments. On the final semester; student will undergo industrial training for real chemical engineering exposure.

Entry Requirements

Local Students

   General Requirements

  • SPM / O-Level and any equivalent
  • Minimum of THREE (3) credits including credits in Bahasa Melayu
  • Passed in History (started from 2013)

   Specific Requirements

  • Minimum GRADE C in Mathematics AND
  • Minimum GRADE C in any subject Science/ Technical/ Vocational
  • Passed in English
  • At least passed (GRADE E) in Additional Mathematics (If candidates unfulfilled this requirement must complete Bridging Mathematics Course in semester 1 Diploma)
  • Candidates must not color blind and physically fit to perform practical works (requirement for not color blind only for diploma in chemical and diploma in electric and electronic only)

International Students

   General Requirements

  • O-Level / equivalent
  • At least THREE (3) subjects passed with minimum C GRADE

   Specific Requirements

  • Minimum C GRADE in Mathematics ; AND Science/ Technical/ Vocational
  • Passed in English Language Subject
  • Candidates must be physically fit to perform practical works and candidates are NOT color blind

   English Language Qualification

  • A minimum score of 500 in TOEFL ; OR
  • A minimum score of Band 5.0 in IELTS ; OR
  • A minimum score of Band 3 in MUET
  • (Candidates who do not possess the above English Language qualification / equivalent are required to undergo Preparatory Intensive English (PIE) programme)
